The side torch has a long beam, which is handy for aiming at distant objects. Battery life is decent and it recharges quickly. It's very lightweight and comfortable; no discomfort even after hours of use.

    Hands-Free Worklight

The electrical panel is in the hallway, it's 7 p.m., and you have a screwdriver in one hand and a terminal block in the other. The phone's flashlight is balanced on the stepladder, illuminating the wall. A COB LED strip, on the other hand, illuminates what you're looking at, because it illuminates everything. And when your gloves or hands are dirty, you don't search for the switch: you just wave your hand in front of it, and it lights up.

    • The COB strip provides a super wide beam of light, perfect for DIY projects. Ultra-lightweight, you completely forget you're wearing it.

    • The contactless sensor is super convenient when your hands are full. The headband loosens up a bit over time, but otherwise it's great.

Used in the rain, no problem. The headband is comfortable and easily adjustable; it doesn't move, even in the dark attic.

230° is not "more powerful". It's somewhere else.

The COB strip illuminates everything in front of you, over 230°, not a circle in the middle.

A traditional headlamp focuses the light into a narrow cone: in a confined space, the cone misses the light, and you spend all your time moving your head. With the Adventure Light, you can see your workbench, your tools, and your hands all at the same time.

No need to aim. Both hands on the work.

I already have a headlamp and I never use it. How is this one different?

Because it's not the same type of optics, and that's the only thing that matters here. A classic headlamp has a reflector that focuses the light into a circle of about 30 degrees. This one has a COB LED strip that diffuses the light over 230°, covering the entire width of your field of vision. In a closet, under a sink, or inside an electrical panel, that's the difference between aiming the light and simply seeing. The side spotlight is there when you need the former functionality.

Yes, it happens—and it's the most common complaint about this type of lamp, so it's best to mention it upfront. The cause is mechanical: the sensor reacts to anything within about 30 centimeters of it. A wall, a piece of cardboard, a curtain, even your own arm is enough. In a very confined space, it can turn on and off without you asking it to.

That's precisely why the sensor deactivates: keep it on when your hands are occupied in the middle of a room, turn it off when you're working with your nose against a wall, and switch back to the button. It's not a mandatory mode.

The headband is made of soft silicone and adjusts with a buckle. Two simple steps make all the difference: tighten it before you start rather than mid-process, and position the device above your eyebrows, not in the middle of your forehead. At 80 grams, most of the weight is distributed across the headband, not the front—which prevents it from tipping over. It also fits comfortably over a hard hat or beanie.

Over time, the elastic band eventually loosens: this is the most common complaint among users of this type of lamp, after battery life. It can be reattached at the loop.

And if you wear glasses: the small side spotlight can reflect in the lenses when it's on. The COB headband, however, doesn't have this problem—it's the mode you'll use most of the time.

Eight hours is the most economical mode. On the most powerful mode, expect 2 to 3 hours. This is the range advertised by the manufacturer: 2 to 8 hours depending on the mode, and it's the figure that most often disappoints buyers of this type of lamp—because they focused on the 8.

A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes via USB-C with the included cable. One charge is more than enough for an evening of DIY projects or two dog walks. However, it won't last all night at full power.

Yes. The IPX4 rating covers rain, sweat, and splashes—it's made for going out in bad weather. What it doesn't cover: immersion. Don't submerge it in water, don't leave it in a puddle, and never charge it while the USB-C port is wet.
